Some of our wool fabrics are flame retardant due to the fact that wool ignites at a higher temperature than cotton and other synthetic fibres, whilst having a lower rate of flame spread. Our most popular wool fabric is wool serge which is used to create staging curtains & drapes. Browse our array of wool fabrics and if we don’t have what you are looking for then please get in touch and our team of experts will do all they can to meet your fabric requirements.

Hair canvas uses a cotton blend, which is known for its stiffness and resilience, making it ideal for providing structure to garment fronts, lapels, and collars. Modern versions may also incorporate synthetic fibres. On the other hand, tailoring canvas is often crafted from a mix of wool and cotton. This canvas offers structure but can be somewhat softer than hair canvas. The choice between the two depends on the desired drape and rigidity of the garment. Both are essential in ensuring a refined appearance and long-lasting shape in tailored clothing. More information on Canvas Fabrics
