FAQs

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions from our customers. If your question isn't covered here, please contact us.

  • Delivery charges vary depending on the weight of the fabric being ordered. These will be calculated during the checkout process.

  • Our fabrics are sourced from a wide range of countries across different continents, including the UK. At Whaleys, we pride ourselves on offering the highest quality fabrics, which is why we take great care in sourcing the best materials, no matter where they come from.

  • Most of our fabrics are sold in their natural state (base cloth), with the intention that customers will dye or print them themselves. The majority of fabrics are white or cream in appearance.

  • We can arrange for fabric dyeing. The minimum order is between 300–500 metres, depending on the fabric. Please contact our Sales Office on 01274 576718 for pricing and lead times.

  • The coating on the fabric may rub off if folded, which can result in a patchy appearance when printed. Therefore, coated fabrics must be rolled. Please note that rolled fabrics cannot be sent via Royal Mail and must be shipped using our carrier services.

  • Yes, you can request samples of any fabric listed on the website (with a few exceptions). You may order up to five samples per request for £2.50, as many times as you like. We offer free shipping for UK orders. International orders are charged £7.00 to cover administration and postage.
